Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American writer, performer and actress well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. The Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first production she acted in during her stage debut. Then, in 1956 she got her first big break on Broadway with Li'l Abner. In the same year, she released Her first album of songs, called It's Time to Tina. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was as Griselda on God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 film. The film received widespread acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. While students of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. She signed on with CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour continued to successfully play between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting as a sombre character contrast to her image of the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made an impact as an accomplished director on several well-known television series like Supernatural or The 100. Her family moved to Essex to Toronto, where she spent childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and has remained in Toronto ever since.
