Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam having Chinese roots, while Winston Barrett Munn's family has origins deep within the American South. Her parents separated when she was two years old, and she was a child of her father and stepfather who was a member of the United States Air Force. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan, even although the family moved often. When she was in Japan, she appeared as an actor in local theatre performances, and later turned into a Japanese fashion model. Olivia has relocated with her family to Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actor was determined to pursue this goal when the family moved back to the United States. In the end, she was able to land a couple of tiny roles on television series featuring Hawaii lenses (such as Beyond the Break), she won the role Mily Acuna and landed the job of Rob Schneider's receptionist for Big Stan. She is the host of G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". Since the 2006 television show Beyond the Break, she has continued to surf. Additionally, she has earned a black belt for taekwondo. When she was just two years old, her mother got married again, but this time with the same US Air Force member. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather worked. The university she attended was her studies at University of Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in journalism. She also minored in Japanese and drama arts.
